My Trip to Bali, Indonesia

Bali is such a magical island with so much to see and do and I wanted to, not only share my experience, but help you plan out your  adventure in Bali by putting together a quick list of my favorite spots! I had the wonderful honor of traveling with my family.

Our first adventure was a half day trip to the Taman Ayun Temple, about 30 minutes in town. We spent a lot of time in Seminyak, it was one of our favorite spots! I highly suggest staying at The W Hotel, if you’re looking for a young/fun vibe with gorgeous accommodations and killer views

We also took about an hour and a half drive outside of Seminyak to visit the Temple Tanah Lot – which I highly recommend as well. Be sure to visit the rice fields and stop for lunch at Bamboo Restaurant (on the way back to Seminyak) for some absolutely delicious, authentic Indonesian food.

My most favorite day-trip was our adventure to Nusa Penida, an island south of the main island of Bali. Be sure to book a tour guide on this one! We took a private boat over to the island and drove about an hour and a half inland. Once we finally reached a beach-lined cliff, it was another 30-45 minute hike down the cliff (so scary but to worth it) to the most stunning, private beach I’ve ever seen!

Our next adventure was a two hour drive up north through Bali to Ubud. It was incredibly beautiful with plenty of options on activities! We made a few stops along the way to our Villa at The Royal Pita Maha one of which was the Butterfly Den.
